Customer Communication

Two Different Business Actions

Split "client questions" into two types, and where the answer lives is completely different:

**Knowledge questions** — "What time do you close?" "How much is a gel manicure?" "Can I request a specific artist?" The answers live in a knowledge base: fixed, identical across a hundred asks. This is the Q&A bot's home turf.

**Commitment questions** — "Any slots tomorrow afternoon?" "Can you hold Saturday morning for me?" The answers live in your calendar: dynamic, and each answer is itself a piece of business. After saying "yes" comes slot confirmation, service confirmation, calendar entry.

**Leakage happens on commitment questions.** Because commitment questions can't be pre-answered — they need real-time slot info, back-and-forth confirmation, and finally a "lock" action (slot held, deposit, reminder).

Customer service resolves doubt. Booking locks commitment. **Your bot stops at the door of doubt — and the money is on the commitment side.**

Your Bot Learned to Answer. But What Happens After the Client Asks "Any Slots Tomorrow?"

You deployed a Q&A bot, and clients can finally ask questions at midnight. The next morning you wake up to eight messages: "Any slots tomorrow?" — and you still answer them one by one. The bot passed the exam, but revenue didn't move a cent. Because customer service resolves doubt, while booking locks commitment — two different business actions.
